Environmental Monitoring

We are committed to monitoring and meeting the required standards of environmental control. These include but are not limited to emissions, effluent treatment, waste management and discharge, as well as other environmental parameters. For example, our refinery is Euro IV compliant and we have a very elaborate rehabilitation and resettlement programme which has been recognized by the local authorities.

Waste Management

In keeping with established standards of waste management, we define our waste matter, categorize them as per relevant industry standards and follow applicable norms for waste disposal. All our actions in this regard are guided by the need to follow environmentally benign procedures. As a standard practice, we monitor our waste for compliance with existing industry norms on a periodic basis.

Biodiversity Conservation

As a corporate, we understand and fully support the idea of balance in our eco-system - hence, in furtherance of this cause we are open to experiences in forestry, protected area management, eco-development approaches, community based approaches to natural resource management and sustainable livelihood programmes.

Healthcare Initiatives

In the area of healthcare, we contribute actively to project based initiatives like eye camps, polio camps and specifically targeted health projects. We have also contributed to local health clinics and have provided healthcare infrastructure. We are in regular dialogue with local authorities to facilitate their schemes in this regard.

Education

One of our intrinsic beliefs is that education liberates society; hence, we fully understand the difference that education makes to the community at large. As part of our efforts towards this end, we have provided infrastructure to educational institutions and also initiated programmes to further the cause of education.
