M. Guha Roy is the Chief Executive Officer of Cals Refineries Ltd., an independent company forming the refining vertical of the Spice Energy Group. His key responsibilities include directing the setting up of the Cals Refinery at Haldia through all its phases. Mr. Roy is also involved with the management of all related technical, commercial and administrative activities leading to operation stability of the refinery. Working relentlessly towards gaining a competitive advantage, Mr. Roy has been using his extensive experience to attain important business goals.

Having worked with major energy players such as Essar Group, Hindustan Copper Ltd. and HoodOil Ltd., Mr. Roy has nearly 30 years of experience in this sector. During his career, Mr. Roy has been involved in joint venture structuring, implementation of complete refinery projects, selection of process technologies and much more. Mr. Roy has also been a part of a joint venture with Reliance Industries Limited, and was also in charge of the complete implementation of the project.

Mr. Roy is a Chemical Engineer from Jadavpur University in Calcutta, and has completed his post graduation in Project Management, from Punjabi University. He has also undergone several management courses from IIM Ahmadabad, IIM Calcutta and the Administrative Staff College.
